Meet Sharni

I’ve always wanted to be a mum. I was that girl at a school that had a list of baby names from year 7 onwards, so River is the greatest gift I’d ever imagined.
I was also fascinated with photography from a young age. I would get my friends all dolled up so I could do photoshoots for them with my old-school compact digital camera.

A fun life of traveling the world through my 20’s (was amazing) but got in the way of pursing my photography career. It wasn’t until I had River that I knew exactly what I wanted to photograph – the most important thing in the world – family.

More than anything, I love to capture YOUR adventure and tell YOUR story and know that in years to come your images will mean more and more to you and your children and then their children to look back on..

I’m extremely thankful to my parents for giving my brother and I such an incredible upbringing. They’ve taught me the most valuable life lessons and showed nothing but love, affection and gratitude.
My brother and I share a special bond and have always grown up being best mates. He has definitely shaped me into the person I am today. He is an incredible photographer himself and has shot some amazing landscape photography all around the world.

When I think of my childhood, all I remember is all of the adventures mum and dad took us on. Always outdoors exploring nature and discovering what life is all about.

MY WHY - How often do you get out your old family photo albums? For me, this is something I do at least a couple of times a year. I love reminiscing on the fun-loving memories from my childhood and also photos with my grandparents who are unfortunately no longer here. Looking through these images instantly takes me back to that time, and this is why I want to capture your family story, so you and your kids and grandkids will get to enjoy them for the rest of their lives. At the end of the day, all our loved ones are left with are photos to remember us by!
